What parking options are available?

We offer special negotiated monthly parking rates to GWU employees. There is also daily parking available at the regular market rate without an employee discount. Monthly rates for each Colonial Parking location includes DC parking tax already.

 

Are oversized vehicles, such as SUVs, accepted in all of your parking facilities?

Unfortunately, not all of our garages can accommodate oversized and/or extended cars. If you think your car may be oversized, please go to www.ecolonial.com, enter the location address, all clearance information is visible for each location.

 

How do I obtain a monthly parking pass?

A monthly pass can be obtained by submitting an online application in the Colonial Parking link available on the intranet under Applications > Employee. Once Colonial receives your application and if they have an available space, your parking will become effective within 3 business days. Delivery of your parking credentials and confirmation details will be emailed to you once your parking has been processed.  All monthly parking will go through the GWU payroll deduction process.

 

When do I need to sign up?

The last day to sign up or make changes to your parking account is typically the 25th of the previous month.  All changes are effective for the next month.  Requests to join or be removed must be received before the 25th of the previous month.

 

I lost my monthly parking permit or access card. What should I do?

If your permit or access card is lost or damaged, there will be a nominal card replacement fee. Please contact the Colonial Customer Care Department to void your previous parking permit or access card and issue you a new permit or access card. Their Customer Care Department can be reached at 202-295-8080. Please send all parking requests to GWH@ecolonial.com.

 

Am I permitted to lend out my monthly parking permit?

Unfortunately, lending or selling your permit is prohibited. Each permit is created with your specific parking information. Please be mindful that you are responsible for your monthly permit. If you wish to report a lost or stolen permit or wish to cancel your monthly account, please send all requests to GWH@ecolonial.com.

 

I would like to cancel my monthly parking permit. What should I do?

If closing your parking service, a 30 day notice is required. We do not offer proration on closing of accounts.  All parking is canceled on the last day of each month.  Please return your unused monthly permit and/or access card or contact the Customer Care Department by emailing your request to GWH@ecolonial.com. Once your account is cancelled, your permit will no longer be granted access into the garage.

 

Can a monthly parking permit be used at multiple locations?

Unfortunately, Colonial monthly parking permits are specific to each garage and cannot be used at other garages. If you find yourself running around to multiple Colonial® garages, we recommend that you apply for the CPI Preferred Parker card. The CPI Preferred Parker card allows for a quick and easy way to pay for your parking.

 

What is a Preferred Parker® card and how do I obtain one?

A Preferred Parker card acts like a parking credit card; no need to fumble around with cash or sift through credit cards.  Just swipe your card and go.  Many Colonial Parking locations accept Preferred Parker cards. Fill out our easy-to-apply Preferred Parker application – located at www.ecolonial.com – parker tab – documents – Preferred Parker application then submit your completed form to ppvalidate@ecolonial.com. A complete description of this program is located on the application. Also, mark it in notes that you are a GWU Hospital employee.

 

Are there any other benefits to monthly parking with Colonial Parking?

Monthly parkers are automatically enrolled in the Colonial Plus Program. Colonial Plus gives special offers to monthly parkers including discounts on restaurants, retail, parking, car wash services and more.

 

What if I need other help with Colonial Parking and garage related assistance?

Just call Colonial Parking’s Remote Management Center at 202-295-8200. The Colonial Parking Remote Management Center is open 365 days and operates 24/7.  Your inquiry will be quickly handled and/or transferred to the appropriate contact for your specific request.
